There's nothing worse than seeing someone you care for getting scammed. While some fads may seem as harmless as the famous Pet Rock , others can be downright deadly. On top of that, people who are desperate for change will part with their money with the hopes that they found a possible solution to their problem, and that ain't cool at all. Because there are literally thousands of products and fads to choose from, it was really tough for us to narrow it down to such a short list, but we did our best. 5 Bullsh*t Health & Wellness Trends That We Hope Will Go Away in 2021! 1. THE QUICK FIX From fad diets to the "new, like nothing else ever before" fitness gadgets trumpeted by Instagram influencers and self-help gurus, the idea of a quick fix is raging as strong as ever. Of course, we all want to get from point A to point Z as quickly as possible because humans are inherently impatient, especially in a world based on instant gratification. Unfortunately, true change rarely, if ever, happens quickly, and if you're in recovery, you know that sobriety takes a lot of work and that cutting corners can be deadly. Anything in life that guarantees you a magical quick-fix is usually unrealistic. From a behavioral perspective, change takes time and consistency. Our brains and bodies are wired through experience, and for better or worse, the longer the experience, the more ingrained our patterns become. You cannot stop using for a week and suddenly not be an addict, you won't suddenly have high endurance by running one mile, and you won't meet your nutrition goals by elminitating six foods from your diet for three weeks.
